Northwest Pennsylvania Regional Compact for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education

We are pleased to announce that leaders from throughout Northwest Pennsylvania have come together with the common interest of addressing the need for an increased focus on education and training opportunities in the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Our goal is to dramatically increase P—20 students (especially females, minorities and underrepresented groups) in STEM careers while continuing the development of effective strategies to recruit, retain, and retrain our incumbent workforce in these critical fields.

To assist in achieving our goal, we have formed the Northwest Pennsylvania Regional Compact for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. The Compact is a network of institutions and organizations from the twelve counties: Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Forest, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, and Warren, who are committed to advancing strategic long-term solutions to the work-force challenge. We are asking that you and your organization/institution join in the effort to advance STEM education in our region.

If you and/or your organization are interested in expressing your interest and commitment to becoming a partner in this exciting endeavor, complete the Compact (NW PA Regional Compact Membership Form.doc) and return the completed form to:
