RWDC

The Real World Design Challenge (RWDC) is a public-private partnership aimed at sustainably increasing the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) workforce in the long term. The RWDC provides high school students in grades 9–12, the opportunity to work on real world engineering challenges in a collaborative, team-based environment applying the lessons of the classroom to the technical problems of the workplace.

Posted 9/15 - Registration opens today for the 2009-2010 Real World Design Challenge. There is a new Web site this year (www.realworlddesignchallenge.org), and the registration process has been streamlined. Every team that is participating this year needs to go through registration whether they participated last year or not.

All teams have to do to register is click on the link that says Register a Team Now (It will soon say “Register Your Team for the 2009-2010 Challenge” in big bold letters) on the home page of www.realworlddesignchallenge.org. It is on the left side of the white space under the picture. You will get a registration form. When the form is completed, you will be emailed a link to a Windchill project. When you click the link and open the project, everything you need will be in it including the Challenge and Handbook.
